Our Founders

James & Nikita Maley-Craig

Aesthete was founded by James & Nikita Maley-Craig. Our story started with a shared love for nature, and as years passed the objects we desired for our home brought a deep connection between soul and surrounding.

Living in a metropolis we curated a space of objects from around the world, which provided us a serenity and a want to slow down. Aesthete is ‘an ode to art and nature’ in our eyes and one we wanted to share with you. Thank you for adoring these timeless artifacts.

How can I shop?

There are a few ways we welcome you to shop:

Where do you source your items from?

Our objects are currently sourced from across the Mediterranean and Middle East.

Are your objects authentic?

Every single item we source has a story of a life well lived. From vintage to antique, all objects are originally made from reclaimed and natural materials. You’ll find a unique patina, character and wear across all one-of-a-kind objects… no two are the same. The age and story of an object are listed, but message our team if you’d love any more details.

Do you offer shipping or delivery?

All small to medium objects will be delivered via a next-working-day delivery courier if ordered before 12 pm. For any order after 12 pm please allow one-two working days for your object to reach you. 

For any large items, our team of experts will hand deliver the item to ensure safe delivery. This will require our concierge team to schedule a date and time best suited to you, for us to feel comfortable in the fact that your antique item has been well handled.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

We do not offer returns or exchanges at this time. All sales are final and all items sold are as-is. Every item is unique and may differ in its character or patina from the image shown. All sales are final and all items are sold as is. Variations should be expected unless otherwise specified. If you prefer to hand-select objects from Aesthete, we recommend keeping an eye on our social media updates to find out when you can meet us and our objects in person across the UAE.

Where is your studio?

It’s currently tucked away in an old villa in Jumeirah. We would love for you to visit, but we respect our neighbours. One day we hope to have a space we can welcome you to, but for now, we’ll do our best to get to know you on our social media channels or at aesthetehome.ae
